WILMETTE, Ill. – (May 29, 2008) – Koenig & Strey GMAC, the exclusive real estate sponsor of the 2008 Brian Urlacher Football Camp, has announced that it will award 25 camp scholarships. The camp is being held for the first time in Illinois, July 1-3 at the Lake Forest West High School Athletic Campus in Lake Forest.
Doug Ayers, president of Koenig & Strey GMAC Real Estate, made the announcement. “We are thrilled that Brian is bringing his camp to Lake Forest, and pleased to offer additional opportunities for young athletes to attend,” Ayers said. Koenig & Strey GMAC offices are partnering with local schools and organizing community outreach efforts to select scholarship recipients.About the Brian Urlacher Football CampAfter eight successful camp seasons in Albuquerque, the Brian Urlacher Football Camp is coming to Chicago. The three-day non-contact program will be coached by Brian Urlacher, other Chicago Bears and NFL players, and local and national high school and college coaches. The camp teaches basic football skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship to athletes ages 6 -16. With a low camper-to-instructor ratio, the camp stresses grouping players by age and ability. Athletes will learn how to run, throw, catch, defend, form block, form tackle, and explode out of their stance.
