NAPERVILLE, IL, USA – Michele Nixon, Managing Broker of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago’s Naperville office, is pleased to announce that agents from the office supported Love Purse during the firm’s annual Community Kindness initiative. Love Purse donates new purses filled with essentials to survivors of domestic violence. Thirty purses were earmarked for Mutual Ground in Aurora and 20 purses were for Harbor House in Kankakee. An additional 200 toiletry items were donated in addition to the purses. Community Kindness is held in conjunction with BHHS Chicago’s philanthropic arm, the Kindness Foundation. “Love Purse is an amazing organization that supports women in need by giving them a purse filled with useful items. Our agents reached out to their clients, family and friends who donated new purses plus necessities like toiletries and slippers. Our Foundation Ambassadors then assembled each purse and added an inspirational note for a personal touch to show someone cares. I’d like to thank Sarah Ruzick, Michelle Flynn and Denise Chambers for coordinating this event,” said Nixon.
Purse contents include full size shampoo and conditioner, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, mouth wash, body lotion, hand sanitizer, lip balm, socks, slippers and more.
