(TUCSON, ARIZ.) – The Long Realty Cares Foundation raised over $16,000 in contributions during its second annual “Ticket to Care” Raffle. Proceeds from the raffle benefit the work of the Long Realty Cares Foundation, which provides a venue for Long Realty Companies sales associates and employees to collectively enhance the quality of life in Arizona by supporting a variety of different charities in the community.
The raffle concluded with much fanfare during the November 20 raffle drawing and food drive event at the Foothills Mall. The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona was on hand to collect donations from those purchasing last-minute tickets.
The 13 prize packages totaled over $13,000 and were donated by local businesses. Prizes included local golf and vacation packages and dining certificates for some of Tucson’s finest restaurants.
With 1,756 tickets sold since the raffle began in September, this year’s numbers doubled last year’s.
“All of us at Long Realty Cares Foundation are very proud of what a success the second annual “Ticket to Care” Raffle has been,” said Susan Barry, Long Realty Cares Foundation President of the Board. “Through the support of Long Realty agents and employees, and the local businesses who generously donated their services as prizes, we are excited to announce that we doubled the amount raised from last year!”

About the Long Realty Cares Foundation
Long Realty Cares Foundation was established in 2002 to expand the philanthropic activities of the Long Realty Companies and to provide a venue for our sales associates and employees to collectively enhance the quality of life in Arizona. As our company evolves, it is distinguishing itself by building a legacy of philanthropy. To date, more than 1.6 million dollars in support have been donated to over 160 different non-profit organizations in the communities in which we live and work. Foundation monies come from the many sales associates who voluntarily donate a portion of their commission from each real estate transaction and from Long Realty Companies employees who personally contribute to the Foundation. Many of our sales associates and employees go even further in their efforts to effect positive change; they make a commitment to serve local charitable organizations in a volunteer capacity.
