Pasadena, CA (OCTOBER 2011) - deasy/penner&partners, the independently-owned, Southern California-based residential real estate firm, and a select member of the Luxury Real Estate Network, is thrilled to announce that top producing agent Ted Clark has joined the firm’s Pasadena office as a Senior Partner. Accompanying Clark is his team, including agents Heather Lillard and Alex Lozano, Marketing Director Jose Lara, and Administrative Assistant Meda Pudzemyte. The recent addition of Clark and his team to deasy/penner&partners showcases the firm’s ever growing foothold in the industry and the incredible strength of its roster of partners.
“We never intended on being the biggest firm, just the best,” states Chairman and CEO Mike Deasy. “Ted and his team exemplify our quest for having the smartest, most passionate and knowledgeable agents in the business. What makes him so special is that not only is he an expert in real estate, but he also has a thorough understanding of design, architecture and landscape—all of which are important to our firm and our clients.”
A sales agent for the past 22 years, Clark has steadily become an icon in the Pasadena real estate industry. He spent his early career at Coldwell Banker, later taking the opportunity to assist in launching and growing the Pasadena office of Prudential California Realty, where he was the number one agent for much of the last decade. Born and raised in the Pasadena region, Clark has an intimate understanding and knowledge of Pasadena’s eclectic mix of architecture. From an Urban Farm in Altadena to a Marston Van Pelt and Buff + Hensman in San Marino or Pasadena, Clark and his team have represented a variety of significant homes, proving time and again they have a strong edge in the marketplace.
Ted Clark says, “I am truly excited about the opportunity to work with a firm who shares similar values. Through their core philosophy of Home as art, deasy/penner&partners is passionate about people, the way they live their lives and how inherently they connect with where they live. It’s that deeper emotional tie that clients gravitate towards and the same feeling that represents who my clients are.” Clark continues, “In addition, the firm’s strong roots in design and architecture make it a perfect match with my background and interests. My team and I look forward to working in such a unique environment.”
Since her arrival at Ted Clark and Partners, agent Heather Lillard has played a significant role within the firm. Lillard will continue to work closely with Clark as she moves to deasy/penner&partners, providing a unique balance to Clark’s clientele with her close relationships in the philanthropic and entertainment industries. “deasy/penner understands how the business is evolving. Being independent, we have the ability to be nimble and respond to the market in hours, not months. This is what our clients need and expect,” says Lillard.
In April 2011, deasy/penner&partners opened their full-service office in Pasadena. With 22 Pasadena-area Partners and growing, they have quickly made their presence known in the marketplace, representing a diverse portfolio of properties; most recently the 1920 award-winning $4.8 million, Reginald Johnson designed “Paxton House” in South Pasadena and now, the “ Mendocino House,” in Altadena, represented by Clark and offered for sale at $2.495 million.
“As with our other Senior Partners at deasy/penner&partners, we look to Ted to not only excel in the representation of exceptional real estate, but also act in the role of leader, mentor and collaborator. His skillsets extend well beyond that of extraordinary sales agent,” said George Penner, President of deasy/penner&partners.
