Denver – Kentwood City Properties is co-sponsoring the 35th Starz Denver Festival scheduled for November 1-11, 2012. The annual event, presented by Starz Entertainment and produced by the Denver Film Society, will focus on Argentine Cinema while featuring a full lineup of feature films, shorts, panels, workshops, and student filmmakers in competition.
As a Patron Sponsor, Kentwood City Properties will enjoy a high profile presence at the festival’s three venues, including the Denver Film Center/Colfax, UA Denver Pavilions, and the L2 Arts and Culture Center. Kentwood City will also be recognized as a co-presenter and host at the Randi Lee Rare Pearl Reception. This recognition and sponsorship benefits the company’s real estate professionals and clients alike by showcasing Kentwood City Properties at one of Denver’s most popular and well-attended cultural events.
“Kentwood City Properties is fortunate to be a sponsor of the 35th Denver Starz Film Festival,” said Susan Henderson, a leading Broker Associate with the top-producing firm. “Supporting the arts is a privilege and one that agents at Kentwood City work hard at. Film can transport you, inform you, and even empower you. We feel that in this non-stop, fast-paced world, it is important to enjoy things outside of the workplace.
“By being involved with cultural endeavors, the visions of others, humor, and especially ideas that are new or even controversial, we can inspire our minds and touch the heart,” Henderson continued. “When you choose an agent with Kentwood City Properties for your real estate needs, you are making a conscious decision to support a company that gives back to the community and promotes a balanced life.”
One of Henderson’s listings, the Eron Johnson Antiques store on Broadway, will serve as the Late Night Lounge during the film festival.
Kentwood City’s sponsorship includes theatre recognition throughout the festival that reaches more than 55,000 attendees, in addition to on-screen advertising before every film and at festival venues, tickets to films, after-party events, receptions, and much more.
“Kentwood City Properties conducts drawings in its weekly sales meetings where 10 Broker Associates receive a pair of tickets to screenings plus a pair of tickets for the festival’s opening night,” said Jim Theye, Managing Broker and Co-Owner of the company. “Several Kentwood agents also purchased Patron Sponsor passes, so we are really involved with the event. We are using social media to promote the festival and our sponsorship, and some of our tickets go directly to clients who might be new or otherwise unable to attend the great mix of films showcased at the festival.”
A total of 14 films from Argentina will screen in the festival. An epic 15-hour film titled The Story of Film will also be featured. The 2012 Denver Film Festival will screen more than 225 features, shorts, and student films representing nearly 40 countries. The festival will also include numerous Colorado-produced feature length and short films. Tickets are now on sale at www.denverfilm.org, along with the festival’s complete schedule.
