Denver, CO – Real estate professionals with The Kentwood Company at Cherry Creek, a member of Kentwood Real Estate, recently delivered nutritious meals to more than 100 households during the company’s annual volunteer day held on behalf of Volunteers of America’s (VOA) Meals on Wheels program to help the less fortunate. The caring Broker Associates delivered meals throughout 14 routes just prior to Thanksgiving as one of many ways that Kentwood Real Estate gives back to the communities that have helped make the company one of the most successful in Colorado.
“The boxes we deliver each year are special Thanksgiving meals for people in need, and it’s such a rewarding experience,” said Gretchen Rosenberg Faber, Managing Broker for The Kentwood Company at Cherry Creek. “We receive so much kindness and gratitude from the meal recipients, and it’s a very special annual event. Prior to delivering the meals, we had our second annual pancake breakfast provided by American Home Shield home warranty company before leaving for the VOA to pick up the meals, and we want to thank our generous colleagues with American Home Shield.”
VOA’s Meals on Wheels program serves Adams, Arapahoe, Clear Creek, Douglas, Gilpin, Jefferson, and Larimer counties. Each meal consists of an entrée and accompaniments such as vegetables, fruits, breads, and milk which are needed to provide at least one-third of the recommended nutrients for older adults.
