Lake Tahoe, NV – Chase International recently closed the sale of the Osprey Estate in Incline Village – a deal which marks the largest sale in Lake Tahoe since January 2008.
Though the purchaser and final selling price are confidential, the lakefront home was listed at $29.5 million and was previously owned by the late inventor Jerome Lemelson. Lemelson and his wife, an accomplished interior designer, worked with architects to design a unique contemporary 7,100-square-foot home with guest house and conference center which was featured in Architectural Digest and the Wall Street Journal. Shari Chase, CEO stated “Chase once again proves to be the leader in luxury real estate, representing both the buyer and seller in this sale.”
Chase International utilizes a number of tools and resources to reach clients of all levels. “We use everything from local media and the Internet to global marketing and luxury partnerships to serve our clients,” Kerry Donovan said. “These partnerships and affiliations attracted many qualified prospects to the Osprey Estate.”
Chase International’s powerful network of luxury brokerages reaches a global audience through affiliations with Who’s Who In Luxury Real Estate, Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, and Luxury Portfolio, which showcase $1 million-plus homes to more than 140,000 luxury agents in 30 countries. Chase’s public relations and marketing office in London, Mayfair International, recently provided the opportunity to attend an invitation-only high end real estate event in London in October. The gathering brought potential buyers from across Europe, as well as the Middle East and Russia.
Lake Tahoe has always been a haven for professionals looking for exclusive getaways and vacation homes. In fact the Wall Street Journal published an article earlier this month titled “Where Big Money Comes to Play” highlighting Incline Village. But while billionaire CEOs find respite along prestigious Lakeshore Drive, everyday millionaires and hard-working techies are finding a way to call the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe their full-time residence.
“The passing of Proposition 30 in California has encouraged people to consider a Nevada residency,” Chase said. “The tax situation is much more favorable in Nevada and people are taking advantage of the opportunity to escape the California tax. Smart money is on the move to Lake Tahoe, Nevada.”
“This year, we have seen substantial activity in the high end of the market and the Osprey Estate sale is an example of the recent interest in larger estates and it will encourage others to take that step,” says Chase.
Headquartered in Lake Tahoe, Nevada since 1986, with eight offices in the region (Zephyr Cove, Glenbrook, Incline Village, Tahoe City, Squaw Valley, Truckee, South Lake Tahoe and Reno) and one in London, Chase International and its exclusive affiliations handle a large share of the country’s finest properties.
