DENVER – Kentwood Real Estate has purchased a high definition video drone to provide stabilized aerial footage of its properties and surrounding neighborhoods that will give prospective buyers a unique perspective of listings ranging from luxury estates and equestrian properties to mainstream single-family homes and condominiums. Dubbed “Kenny” by Kentwood’s management team, the drone is the first of two new high quality quad copter drones that Kentwood Real Estate will operate full time as a benefit to its agents at no additional cost.

Kentwood Real Estate’s new drone is built primarily of highly durable carbon fiber with a full GPS setup featuring advanced waypoint mission control software, auto pilot, and one switch return to launch capability. The drone house a 1080p full HD video camera shooting at over 60 frames per second, providing smooth and professional quality footage that can be viewed and monitored in real time during the flight. The drones, purchased from a South African company, will sustain only minor damage in the event of a crash. Each drone can operate at speeds up to 60 mph with excellent stability. Kentwood Real Estate will start to build a library of videos of all metro Denver neighborhoods using the drone technology.
