SAN FRANCISCO – (April 2, 2008) – Zephyr Real Estate hosted the two-day CLHMS training course led by Laurie Moore-Moore of the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing on March 27 and 28. This event was an overwhelming success with more than 75 agents in attendance, filling the room to capacity at St. Mary’s Cathedral Event Center. In 2006, Unique Homes magazine honored Mrs. Moore as one of the 35 Most Influential Leaders in the Luxury Home Market. The Real Estate Intelligence Report declared she is one of the ten people having the most impact on U.S. residential real estate in the last 25 years. The Institute is the premiere training and research organization serving real estate professionals who work in the luxury home market internationally. The event drew agents from the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond, including some from as far away as Honolulu, Hawaii and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. There was also a strong local presence, with agents from many Bay Area firms including Zephyr Real Estate, McGuire, Hill and Company, Pacific Union, Coldwell Banker and Sotheby’s. Zephyr had a strong presence with 30 agents in attendance.“The response from the attendees was amazing. The high-end market has grown over 19% in the last 12 months, while the overall San Francisco market has contracted in sales volume. Agents are eager to learn more about this growing segment,” said Matthew Borland, Managing Partner of Zephyr Real Estate. Borland brought the event to San Francisco after being impressed by the ILHM training he took in 2007.“This was an incredible opportunity to learn and gain key insights into marketing to affluent consumers, and I feel fortunate to be affiliated with a company that sponsors this kind of event,” added Wes Freas, Realtor® and Top Producer at Zephyr.Founded in 1978, Zephyr Real Estate is San Francisco’s largest independent real estate firm with nearly $1.5 billion in annual gross sales in 2007 and a current roster of more than 250 full-time agents. Zephyr has seven offices strategically located in San Francisco and serves a large customer base throughout the city. For information, visit www.zephyrsf.com.
