COLD SPRING HARBOR, NY - The marketing and business development team at Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty continues to demonstrate the breadth of its leadership in Long Island real estate with its usage of the widely popular traffic and GPS navigation app Waze to capture a broader audience for its listings and open houses on Long Island and in Queens.
Starting Saturday, September 15th, during a company-wide Open House Weekend, Waze users will be notified of nearby Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty open houses indicated with a branded pin on the Waze map at its location so interested parties can be further directed to the open houses. A separate detailed takeover ad with additional information about the open house will be revealed to the user when the vehicle is at a complete stop. More than 200 properties across Long Island and Queens will be featured on Waze during the company-wide Open House Weekend.
Marion Weiler, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty, positions the Waze rollout as a continuing part of ‘our 360-degree approach to integrative, innovative marketing,’ and the first of several rollouts this fall that will introduce new concepts in marketing that will help agents be more effective and add more value to the agent-client relationship.
“Technology has revolutionized the real estate industry, and we will continue to stay on the cutting edge as new technologies and applications develop. That said, regardless of what technology can offer to help in the home buying and selling process, real estate remains, at heart, a people business,” Marion expressed. “An experienced, knowledgeable and local real estate agent can do what no technology can do on its own, that is, provide the human connection that can seal the transaction with the right buyer, at the right price. Technology may lead you to the house of your dreams, but it takes the right real estate professional to lead you through the process.”
“We are very excited to introduce another innovative strategy to market our listings to prospective buyers by harnessing the power of a heavily used and trusted app such as Waze,” said Deirdre O’Connell, Chief Executive Officer of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty. “We take pride in our standing as the leading real estate organization on Long Island. We set the standards, and the path, for other firms to follow.”
