Description
A lifelong resident of Salt Lake City with over two decades of experience in the real estate industry, Lauri Davey stands out from the competition. An Associate Broker with Summit Sotheby’s International Realty, Lauri is supported by a global brand that allows her to give her clients a hands-on experience, setting her apart from other agents. From interior design to new construction, remodeling and landscape design, Lauri specializes in a wide variety of areas – there is no challenge too big for her to tackle in today’s fast-paced market. Lauri specializes in ‘designing to sell’, meaning she works closely with her Sellers to help prepare their property to best appeal to their target buyer. This often results in her clients netting substantially for money for their home than they would have otherwise.
Born and raised in the Avenues neighborhood of Salt Lake City, Lauri has lived within five miles of downtown SLC her entire life. From an early age, she became fascinated with interior design and architecture. As a child, she convinced her parents to allow her to paint and redesign her childhood bedroom. Through the years, she has taken that passion and used it to renovate dozens of homes, even designing and constructing four properties.
Lauri earned her BA in Communication from the University of Utah in 1991. After graduation, she worked in Marketing where she gained great experience but soon realized her true calling was in real estate after often finding herself driving through neighborhoods admiring the different styles of architecture around Salt Lake City. Lauri had always found beauty in the historic homes on Capitol Hill and the lower Avenues and in the mid-century architecture of the high Avenues. She found the Valley views from the homes in Arlington Hills inspiring and loved exploring the sycamore tree-lined streets of the stately Federal Heights area or appreciating the classic Tudor and two-story homes located in Harvard/Yale. Wherever she found herself, Lauri would think of ways that she could add “curb appeal” to each property. As time went on, she began receiving calls from friends and coworkers asking if she could assist in preparing their home to sell, or asking her opinion regarding a property they were thinking of purchasing. It was at this point that Lauri realized her passion was in real estate; in 2002 she became a licensed real estate professional and has spent the last 20 years perfecting her craft.
Lauri joined Summit Sotheby’s International Realty in 2016, drawn to their outstanding reputation for excellence, impeccable in-house marketing services, company culture and far-reaching global network. Over the years, Lauri has successfully helped her clients navigate Utah’s competitive housing market throughout its highs and lows. She regularly attends CE classes in real estate and is constantly educating herself to stay current in today’s housing trends, keeping a finger on the pulse of a global industry. Lauri’s genuine personality, unmatched work ethic and extensive knowledge of all aspects of the real estate business make her a true asset to her clients and colleagues alike in Summit Sotheby’s International Realty’s Sugar House offices. Lauri’s extensive experience representing Buyers has given her a keen eye for seeking out ‘just the right’ property and neighborhood for their needs. She is equally talented in assisting Sellers to prepare their property for market through home improvements, personalized home staging and accurate home pricing in an ever-changing market.
When she isn’t helping her clients with their real estate needs, you can find Lauri traveling with her husband and four kids, gardening in her backyard, or spending time at their family cabin in the mountains at Brighton, Utah. No matter the season, you can find Lauri taking advantage of Utah’s fabulous quality of life and everything that the Beehive State has to offer.
