John Burchmore

A resident of the Telluride area since 1997 and having lived in Aspen for the 10 years prior to Telluride, John is familiar with the mountains, resort communities and Telluride. Few agents in Telluride/Ridgway have the volume of sales experience John has accumulated over the years. John and his family Currently live in Ridgway after 20 years in Telluride.

With a background of sales, marketing and development, John's work history is diverse. John grew up in Lake Forest, IL where his family owned a multi-generational residential Real Estate Firm. After graduating from Ripon College in WI, with a degree in Economics, John went to work with a leading commercial Real Estate Firm in Chicago, Fuller Commercial Brokerage. From there he moved to Traverse City, Ml to the first of many resort destinations, working for DSI Resort Properties of Traverse City managing their real estate office in Leelanau County. In Aspen, John was Business Development Manager for the Snowmass Resort Association.

John's experience in Telluride and Mountain Village is extensive. Originally, John was hired away from Snowmass to help design, build and manage the Telluride Conference Center in Mountain Village. John has served on the Mountain Village Town
Council, Past President of the Telluride Visitor Services board, Directed the Marketing committee for Telluride
and Mountain Village and has served on the Mountain Village Design Review Board. John is active with local nonprofits
working as board member on the Telluride Society for Jazz and having served on Telluride Council for the Arts
and Humanities. With two sons who grew up in Telluride, he participated with the Telluride Ski Club, the Telluride Soccer Club and Rotary International.

John has traveled extensively having climbed and skied two of the 7 Summits, Mt. Aconcagua in Argentina, and Mt. Elbrus in Russia. His passions for the outdoors in and around Telluride include fly fishing, hiking, biking and exploring with Jill and his two sons, Jake and Leland.
