Mike and Maria Patakas are true real estate professionals. They tell you upfront that they pride themselves on their service and communication and boy howdy did they live up to that statement! The saying goes "buy the worst house on the nicest street" to get the best value, and I have a terrible habit of buying the most over-the-top sensational home in every neighborhood I buy. This is always challenging to an agent when it comes time to sell because the comps are simply not fair if you're the nicest home on the block. They understood this from the start and positioned my home for TRUE comps, and not the lesser homes in my neighborhood (no judgment, just stating facts here). It worked! I got a very fair value for my home. Fair to the buyer and definitely fair to me. Who could ask for anything more than that! Their communication was so quick, I literally had to ask them to please not return the texts I sent at 10 pm until the next day because I didn't feel it's fair of me to ask them to work 24 hours a day for me and I didn't expect such an immediate response. Then I find out what they did behind the scenes to improve the most intricate of details of my showing that even I didn't see. Honestly, I was a bit overwhelmed. They were literally making fixes themselves, in addition to finding vendors to fix things without even telling me they had taken this on because "they didn't want me to stress or worry about this" (I'm still waiting for a bill that they say I'll never see). My comments to them upon closing were "I feel like you've worked for minimum wage considering all the hours you put into this". They just have the attitude that "this is what we do... no big deal." In a word, I am blown away by their commitment to this industry. I never write reviews like this, but I seriously had to get out a megaphone on this because you just don't find service like this in any profession very often these days. I'm truly grateful to meet these two people and to have had the privilege to work with them.
