I literally cannot say enough positive things about working with Maureen on our house purchase. We randomly met (and loved!) her in an open house then she worked tirelessly for two years to get us our dream home. With little available inventory out there she was able to find us an off market deal solely because of her tenacity and responsiveness. This was the best home buying experience that I have ever had. Everything went smooth and the process was seamless, and not because of luck. Maureen Kendall and her team were on top of the transaction at every step and that is what made it a seamless experience. I felt like I was in excellent hands , and didn't have to worry about anything having this confidence. I am new to the area so it was extremely helpful to have someone like Maureen, who is extremely knowledgable about Santa Cruz County, to show me around and explain the nuances of each area that we visited. I'm so happy to say that my wife and I just closed on our first home. Just the idea of buying our first home was very intimidating. I think this is true for any first time home buyers, but it's especially difficult in an ultra-competitive market like Santa Cruz. As soon as we spoke with Maureen, everything started to feel much more achievable and we started to move towards our goal. Maureen's guidance through every step of the process actually made things quite easy. As soon as we started to look at properties, Maureen's familiarity with every little corner of town was apparent. She took great care in selecting potential properties that fit our needs, going to look herself beforehand to confirm it wouldn't be a waste of our time. There was never any pressure to move more quickly, push out of our price range, or venture into areas where we weren't interested in living. She was in tune with the entire market, from the local school districts to what was happening with interest rates (which were really starting to move when we were looking!). When we were ready to make an offer, she carefully guided us through the process and we were able to land the very first home we made an offer on. We are so happy with where we landed. Our home is beautiful and ready to move into, right in our price range, and feels like a very good value in the market. The closing process is another potentially arduous and very complicated path for first time buyers, but with Maureen's help we were able to close with no delays - right on time. Everything was clearly explained and anticipated. We were actually offered he option to close early. If you're looking to purchase a home in Santa Cruz, you'd be lucky to have Maureen as your agent.
