The Kihei area is mostly residential and centered around Kihei Road, which runs for about 7 miles from Central Maui, following the coastline through South Maui until you reach Wailea. You’ll find farmer’s markets, great coffee, health food restaurants, poke and shave ice spots, plus some great local-style shopping and dining along the way. With beaches on one side and some of the island’s more affordable condo and residential developments on the mauka side of the road, Kihei residents benefit from west-facing shores and beautiful sunsets.
