Margaret Eppes Curtis is a native of Richmond and spent every weekend and summer as a child at Fishing Bay Yacht Club in Deltaville. She attended St. Catherine's School for 13 years.

Margaret began working at 15 at Richmond newspapers for 3 summers. Following high school, she worked for an insurance company for 10 years until an opportunity in the savings and loan industry presented itself where she became infatuated with the mortgage business. In 1994 she moved to the Northern Neck where she worked to promote the Bank of Lancaster's call program. She assisted the bank in adding the secondary market to their lending programs and eventually selling to FNMA. She retired as Vice President with 36 years in the mortgage industry.

While in the mortgage business, she was awarded the Affiliate of the Year from the Women's Council of Realtors, an arm of the Richmond Association of Realtors. She was also chosen twice as the Affiliate of the Year by Chesapeake Bay and Rivers Association of Realtors.

Margaret has been a licensed Realtor for 12 years. With her exceptional knowledge of the mortgage process, she has the capability of making your real estate transaction run smoothly. And offers first class knowledge of the waterways of the Chesapeake Bay after running a charter fishing business alongside her husband for 35 years until 2022.

Margaret has been married to Ted Curtis since 1967 and resides in Northumberland County. Hobbies include: offshore and inshore, fishing, gardening, sailing and Mahjong.
