Some personal information about Dawson: He is a graduate of Douglas S. Freeman High School and the Virginia Military Institute. Prior to real estate, Dawson helped his family start Boyer's Ice Cream & Coffee (located at 5808 Grove Ave) and worked in downtown Richmond at NewMarket Corporation. After growing up in Henrico County, Dawson moved to the Near West End in 2009 and resides there with his wife and four children.
