GRANDPA BROWN
When you hire Nick as your Realtor you are also hiring his Grandpa Brown. “My Grandpa Brown. He was a farmer for 66 years in Litchfield, IL. He taught me that nothing is free and if you want something the only way to get it is hard work. My parents are the same way. I truly believe that, and it is something I repeat to my kids all the time.” You can see this belief demonstrated in everything Nick does.
THE EARLY BIRD
Nick starts his day early. He likes to be at his desk between 5 or 6 am and knock out his paperwork and planning before the heat of the day begins. Customer service, organization, scheduling, meeting high demands and expectations, meeting deadlines, collaborating with sub-contractors, negotiating with clients/customers - these are all areas that Nick thrives in. “I am very good at following up either with email, text, phone call, or stationery and notes. In my opinion, the follow up is a crucial part of all businesses. Following up with clients and vendors is on the top of my “To Do” list." Nick also loves the thrill of going back and forth in negotiation. “I like to play chess and it is a real-life game of chess. I don’t like uncomfortable situations, but I am not afraid of them.”
CLEAN UP HITTER
Nick loves baseball. Legendary baseball icon Babe Ruth once said “ Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.” This quote is a basic concept for all of life. Work hard, try your best, and don't be scared to fail. Everybody loses and nobody is perfect, but you will never know until you try. In fact, Nick would be in the majors if it were not for the fact there wasn’t demand for a .250 high school hitter ????! But Nick ended up literally cleaning up. At 22 years of age, he started his own clean-up business. When he eventually sold, he employed 25 people and had 993 clients. Nick became excellent at managing life’s inevitable curveballs. “Listening is the most important thing when dealing with a stressful situation. Everybody is unique and people react differently to different situations. Figure out the problems/needs and do your best to resolve matters early in the process. Be willing to compromise and always act professionally.”
FAMILY
Nick married the girl 6 doors down. Jenny works as a Nurse Practitioner at Cleveland Clinic in Stuart. They reside in Jensen Beach with their 2 kids (who love baseball - no surprise!) The school system in Martin County was the most important thing they both agreed on when they were relocating. Also, they loved how clean and well-kept the public areas, streets and parks were. "Finally we loved how close we were to the beach. We are within a 5 min walk to the water." Nick has been involved in several charitable organizations over the years. “I started when I was 17 years old doing work for Friend In Deed. It was an organization delivering food and presents to low-income families at Christmas. When I was 25 years old, I organized/operated a yearly bags (corn hole) tournament for the Special Olympics that lasted for 5 years in a row." In more ways than one, deciding to work with Nick is a home run of a choice.
