Maurice embarked on an exhilarating journey in the film and television industry after receiving his Bachelor’s Degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. Transitioning from his role as a camera assistant, he delved into the dynamic realm of talent representation within the agency business. Stationed at the desk of an esteemed agent managing top-tier cinematographers, Maurice swiftly discovered his forte—advocating for others in a domain he cherished. Ascending the ranks, he rose to the role of agent, eventually establishing his boutique agency.

Throughout his career, Maurice has nurtured and guided Academy Award-winning makeup artists, hair stylists, cinematographers, editors, and a diverse array of other talents. His clientele spans the globe, encompassing luminaries from the US, Canada, Europe, and South America. Maurice's adeptness at discerning and adapting to the multifaceted needs of his clientele has underpinned his resounding success in the industry.

Relocating to the Central Coast in 2011, Maurice and Joy have relished raising their son, Luke, amidst the region's natural splendor. Committed to community engagement, Maurice has actively contributed to local youth sports, coaching teams across various disciplines and serving on the board of Five Cities Youth Baseball. The Montoya family finds joy in shared pursuits such as golf, travel, and hosting gatherings, cherishing memberships at the San Luis Obispo Country Club and The Preserve Golf Club in Carmel, CA.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Maurice and his wife, Joy, have been avid participants in the real estate market, leveraging his negotiating acumen honed as a talent agent. This culminated in his decision to obtain a real estate license in 2008, enabling him to extend his expertise and support to friends and family. Presently, Maurice seamlessly integrates his prowess as a talent agent and real estate agent at Richard Sotheby’s International Realty, where his dual experiences converge in harmonious synergy.
