Born and raised with strong Midwestern ethics in Chicago, Sean Matyja moved to the Wasatch Mountains of Utah in 1993 to pursue his dream of competing as a professional snowboarder. Sean has appeared in numerous snowboard magazines and action films and was the snowboard stunt double for 'Turtle' on HBO's hit show Entourage. After the glory days of snowboarding ended, Sean enjoyed mentoring the next generation as a coach for the Park City Snowboard Team.
After living his dream, Sean turned his intense focus and dedication to a new challenge in marketing and design and quickly carved out a strong niche in the rapidly growing Park City real estate market. Using his innovative, proven marketing skills, he has directed the promotion and sales of many of the most successful new construction developments in Park City and Deer Valley. Sean and his wife Heather have successfully directed all marketing and sales for 820 Park Avenue, Goldener Hirsch, and Empire Residences. Their current project, Sommét Blanc in Empire Pass, has continued to set new sales records for the Park City / Deer Valley real estate market.
Sean attributes much of his success to the importance he places on understanding his client's needs and helping them discover what's important to them. The many referrals he's received and the testimony from current and past clients affirm his hands-on personal approach. Sean works in partnership with his wife and fellow Realtor Heather Peterson-Matyja, giving their clients two highly experienced, successful associate brokers with a wealth of knowledge about Park City and the current market.
