WASHINGTON DC, USA - The 2022 GCAAR REALTOR® of the Year is Joseph Himali who was selected from the over 11,000 GCAAR members. Joseph, who is also the team lead of The Best Address® Group, has been an active member of the association for 23 years and was GCAAR’s president in 2009 in addition to serving on both the GCAAR and DCAR boards of directors. He served for seven years on MRIS MLS’s board of directors, before it became Bright MLS, and was named GCAAR’s Rookie of the Year in 1999. Joseph also holds his GRI, CRS and CRB certifications along with many additional local awards and accomplishments.
Joseph has a passion for bettering local real estate, as proven through his service to GCAAR and in Washington, D.C. with L’Enfant Trust, the D.C. Historic Society, D.C. Preservation League and National Trust for Historic Preservation. He’s well known for his TikTok channel, which has over 74,000 followers and more than 1 million likes, for his informative videos about various real estate-related topics.
Joseph has been a Realtor® since 1999 with an extensive sales history, including considerable experience with co-op sales. As a native Washingtonian, he has in-depth knowledge of the varied neighborhoods in the area and specializes in luxury, historic and architecturally significant properties in Washington and the surrounding suburbs. Joseph is in the top 1% of all agents nationwide in sales, but what separates Joseph from other agents is his extensive and detailed knowledge of the real estate industry.
