DEL MAR, CA USA - Once a year Windermere Homes & Estates offices close for business in order to participate in Community Service Day. An annual tradition, our agents and staff spend the day volunteering in our communities completing a variety of neighborhood improvement projects. Last Friday, we spent the day at Feeding San Diego sorting fruits, vegetables, and reclaimed food for families in need. With the help of our agents we were able to donate $10,000, bag 1134 pounds of potatoes, 800 pounds of bell peppers, and pack 240 boxes of food for households in San Diego county.
Feeding San Diego is the leading hunger relief charity in the community and continues to work towards providing nutritious food to thousands of families, students, seniors, military families, veterans, and people facing homelessness.
Every time a Windermere sales associate sells a home, they donate a portion of their commission to this purpose. This is not only locally. This mission is dear to all Windermere offices, and in more than 30 years more than $47 million has helped support over 500 organizations and changed thousands of lives.
Windermere Homes & Estates is proud to both support and serve the communities it represents.
