CHICAGO, IL USA – Darlene Little, managing broker of the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago’s Lincoln Park Clybourn office, is pleased to announce that agents and staff raised $1,921 for Nourishing Hope this November.
Little said, “This is the 13th year in a row that our office has held a food drive for Nourishing Hope, formerly Lakeview Pantry. Last year more than 21,000 families turned to Nourishing Hope for the first time. This year, we tripled our goal and raised $1,921. It warms my heart to know how many people it will help.”
BHHS Chicago has an ongoing relationship with the pantry. Agents and staff work with them throughout the year raising funds and volunteering time. Nourishing Hope is a dynamic social services organization providing food, mental wellness counseling and other social services, such as job and housing assistance, to Chicago neighbors in need. Founded in 1970, they strive to serve the needs of the whole person with respect and dignity. Nourishing Hope served 200,000 individuals and distributed 4 million meals. For every $1 donated, Nourishing Hope can provide 8 meals. For more information about Nourishing Hope, click here.
