SEATTLE, WA USA – October 14, 2023 – On Sunday, October 6th, members of the global Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate (LRE®) network began arriving to attend the 27th Annual Luxury Real Estate Fall Conference which took place at The Charleston Place in Charleston, SC USA. Brokers, top agents and management from around the world gathered to connect, share and discuss the latest trends in the luxury real estate industry.
The event began with the exclusive Board of Regents programming, opening with a special evening welcome reception celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Board of Regents. Special toasts were made to the Charter Board of Regent members commemorating their long-standing relationship with the LRE® network and community.
The following day, Regents heard from expert panelists, led by Board of Regents members, on ‘Sustaining Long Term Luxury Real Estate Success’. Attendees then heard from speakers, Morgan Carey, CEO of Real Estate Webmasters, on Patrick Lencioni’s ‘6 Types of Working Genius’ framework. The session was aimed to help leaders identify and understand the aspects of their roles that bring the most fulfillment. David Abernathy of Waterfront Properties & Club Communities explored ‘AI in Action’ for the luxury real estate industry and key elements that agents and brokerages should focus on to make the most out of this technology. The Board of Regents meeting concluded with the final speaker, Mor Zucker of LIV Sotheby’s Intl. Realty, with an energetic session on the 5 “C’s” of recruiting and retention. That evening, an opening reception was held to welcome newly arrived guests and kick off formal programming.
Other featured speakers at the event included Kofi Nartey, CEO of Globl RED / Real Luxury the go-to broker for celebrities, prominent sports figures, and affluent clientele around the globe, speaking on ‘Excellence as a Strategy: Keys to Individual and Organizational Excellence’. Dr. Tom Curran of Tomlinson Sotheby’s Intl. Realty, shared insights from a 25-year career serving C-suite executives, business owners and their top leadership teams and its influences for growing as a luxury real estate agent. In addition, Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate members enjoyed several sessions throughout the conference regarding ‘Mindset. Skillset. Actions. Inspired by Ninja Selling’ by Chip Herbert & Herbert Dubuisson of Compass, and a panel on ‘Always Be Closing: Strategies for Unmatched Success'.
Attendees had the opportunity to take a trolley tour around historic Downtown Charleston, including a property tour showcasing multiple charming homes hosted by Board of Regents member, Carolina One Real Estate. The group then headed to an exclusive bourbon tasting led by Woodford Reserve Master Distiller, Elizabeth McCall, hosted by John Stough of Kentucky Select Properties. Several members also took part in the LRE® 101 Workshop to revisit their membership opportunities and benefits, while others spent their afternoon exploring the best of Charleston’s food, drink, art, and culture.
The event culminated with a gala dinner and the celebrated LRE® Awards presentation. John Stough, Co-founder and Principal Broker of Kentucky Select Properties, was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his persistent dedication to the network and the real estate industry.
