Atlanta, GA – Three wishes come true for Atlanta-area children with severe medical conditions with the help of the Make-A-Wish Foundation® and Harry Norman, Realtors’ Young Realtors’ Council. For the past six years, the Young Realtors Council has held a bowl-a-thon at Midtown Bowl to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Georgia and Alabama.
“We raised over $19,000 this year – enough to grant more wishes than ever,” said Meredith Mansfield Durrett, Harry Norman sales associate and the 2011 YRC chairperson.
Since 2006, Harry Norman’s Young Realtors Council has raised more than $84,000 and granted 13 wishes to the Make-a-Wish Foundation children. The YRC, which consists of agents under the age of 40, and was established to promote the education of young agents and to give back to the community.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. Begun in the United States in 1980, it now serves children in 47 countries on five continents.
