With an adventurous spirit that bordered on rebellious, she left home after high school to join the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. After her honorable discharge, she earned a Developmental Psychology degree from the University of Florida. Shortly after graduation, she earned her Florida and Georgia real estate licenses and worked for several real estate companies in Atlanta and Orlando before starting her own company.
