MIAMI BEACH, FL – Real estate industry veteran Charles D. Urstadt has announced the formation of CD Property Brokerage and Consulting LLC focusing on luxury and investment real estate in the Miami area.
Joining Urstadt as principle in the new venture is David Bernard, a well-known local and national television meteorologist.
“Thirty five years in the real estate business has given me a wealth of experience to offer our clients. David and I have many years of extensive involvement with the Miami area to draw on. CD Property is a logical next step for both of us,” Urstadt said.
Urstadt began his real estate career with Pearce, Urstadt, Mayer and Greer, a national commercial real estate brokerage based in New York. He spent 11 years with the prestigious Manhattan residential sales firm of Brown Harris Stevens where he demonstrated his skill as a sales agent and, later, sales executive. He also served as Executive Director of Sales for Halstead Property in New York.
After moving to Miami Beach, Urstadt became very involved in several local non-profit groups. For five years, he served as chair of the Miami Design Preservation League. He was appointed to the Miami Beach Planning Board where he also served as chair. Currently, Urstadt serves as a director of Urstadt Biddle Properties, a New York Stock Exchange listed real estate investment trust based in Greenwich CT.
Bernard was Chief Meteorologist for CBS Miami (Channel 4) and the Severe Weather Consultant for the CBS News Evening News in New York. He has lived in Miami for the last 10 years.
“Sophisticated buyers and sellers of Miami real estate deserve a high level of service. Our goal is to serve the high end of the property market with the kind of attention to detail that is expected,” Bernard said.
CD Property’s website, CDPROPERTY.COM, is now on-line. The company’s new office space is located at 1680 Michigan Avenue, just off Lincoln Road in Miami Beach.
