CHARLESTON, SC - Realtor Patty Byrne has joined the Charleston-based real estate brokerage Handsome Properties. Byrne joined the firm in May 2016 and will be specializing in downtown Charleston and Kiawah Island real estate sales.
Byrne has been a Charleston resident for over 25 years and has been immersed in real estate since she was a child. Her father was the National President of the Society of Industrial Realtors and was the President of Lehman Associates, the family’s commercial real estate firm, based in the New York/New Jersey area.
Broker in Charge and Owner of Handsome Properties, Debbie Fisher, said that she and the team are happy to welcome Patty on board. “Patty’s enthusiasm and philanthropic background are sure to serve her well here at Handsome. We are excited to have her on our team,” Fisher said.
Before entering the real estate market, Byrne represented the work of world-renowned water colorist, Ray Ellis. Byrne travelled domestically and abroad promoting Mr. Ellis’ work, not only to private collectors, but also to corporate entities, particularly national tournaments; one example being the U.S. Open. This affiliation led to a partnership with both Ray Ellis and famed British commentator, Ben Wright, to launch the book, “The Spirit of Golf.”
When she’s not busy working, Byrne dedicates her time to Dragon Boat Charleston, MUSC Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, Hollings Cancer Center and the 9/11 Silent Walk.
Byrne notes that her favorite part of Charleston is the walkability and living on the Harbor.
