DENVER, CO – Peter Niederman, Chief Executive Officer of Kentwood Real Estate, has been named metro Denver’s Top Business Newsmaker by the Denver Business Journal’s (DBJ) annual Power Book Awards program in the residential real estate category. Niederman received the prestigious distinction during The Power Book Awards Breakfast held Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Westin Downtown Denver Hotel.
The Power Book Awards Breakfast honors C-level executives who have “made the cut.” The power players are metro Denver’s most influential business leaders making the news in Colorado during the past year. Three finalists in 11 categories were honored followed by announcing who the 2016 Power Book Industry Leaders are in each category. The Power Book industry leaders were profiled in a special Power Book section published on September 23 and mailed free to paid subscribers of the Denver Business Journal.
Peter Niederman purchased Kentwood Real Estate in 2007 and spearheaded the company’s growth to its current status as one of the top producing real estate companies in the country.
Niederman’s professional background includes serving as the Rocky Mountain Region’s Regional Vice President of Sales for Richmond American Homes, one of the nation’s largest home builders. He also served as Regional Vice President of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage from 1998 to 2005. Prior to the sale of Moore and Company Realtors in 1998, Niederman was the company’s Chief Operating Officer.
Niederman was born in Chicago and graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in architecture. He has held several positions with the Denver Board of Realtors, serving as President in 1996 and as a director for six years. He has also been a director of the Colorado Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, Stewart Title Guaranty Company, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and the Alpine Club Board of Governors. Niederman is a recipient of the Denver Board of Realtors’ President’s Distinguished Service Award and the organization’s Realtor of the Year award.
Niederman has garnered numerous prestigious awards during his distinguished career recognizing service to the community, the advancement of technology in the real estate industry, corporate innovation, and professional accomplishments. He was also recognized as one of the 200 Most Powerful People in Residential Real Estate by the Swanepoel Power 200, an annual list of the most powerful real estate leaders in North America. Kentwood Real Estate was also voted one of the “Top Workplaces” in Denver in consecutive years by the Denver Business Journal.
