DENVER, CO – Ann Lenane and Angela Beldy, leading Broker Associates with Kentwood City Properties, are major co-sponsors of Jefferson County’s first ever In Plein Sight painting event currently being held in Jeffco’s open space and parks. Hosted by PLAN Jeffco, In Plein Sight includes several special events, including a free, public exhibit of privately owned paintings of Jeffco Open Space and Parks, a week of 25-plus plein air artists painting outdoors in Jefferson County, and an art show with the freshly painted landscapes to view and purchase.
“Plein Air is defined as relating to painting outdoor daylight or relating to a branch of impressionism that attempts to represent outdoor light and air,” said Beldy. “The In Plein Sight event provides a unique cultural experience for the entire metro Denver area. The events will allow attendees to bring the beauty of Jeffco’s open space and parks into their homes and offices as a reminder of why we live in Colorado.”
In Plein Sight kicked off on September 19th and runs through October 8th. Remaining events include Plein air painting at South Valley Park, at Mount Falcon Park, at Crown Hill Park, at White Ranch Park, and along the Clear Creek Trail in Golden. A complete schedule of events and directions are available online at www.inpleinsightjeffco.org.
“In Plein Sight is a unique, new event created to celebrate the beauty of Jeffco Open Space lands through the palettes of participating artists, and Angela and I are very pleased for the opportunity to become original sponsors of the event,” said Lenane. “This incredible event will allow attendees to not only watch the artists create their paintings, but also have the opportunity to bring the beauty of Jeffco Open Space and Parks with them.”
PLAN Jeffco is a nonprofit volunteer-led organization of open space advocates in Jefferson County that works to preserve open space by educating and motivating citizens, monitoring and cooperating with government agencies, and working with aligned associations and citizens. PLAN Jeffco believes that publically owned and preserved open space is the cornerstone of any land use policy with a goal to provide citizens with enhanced quality of life. Because of its initiatives, Jefferson County established the first countywide Open Space lands program and has protected more than 55,000 acres of open space lands with outstanding scenic, natural and recreational value.
