The river is easily waded during the lower-water months of July through October, when caddis, hoppers, tricos, and many other mayflies dominate. Streamer fishing can be fantastic throughout the spring, summer, and fall but is particularly enjoyable in the weeks leading up to the salmon fly hatch and again in the fall.
