The real estate firm—a member of the Christie’s Great Estates network of more than 130 international affiliates—was honored at the network’s 2010 Global Annual Conference for Owners and Senior Management in Toronto, Canada.
Launched this year, the Affiliate-of-the-Year Awards recognizes three Affiliated brokerages in small (population less than 275,000), medium (population between 275,000 and 1,750,000), and large (population over 1,750,000) markets. The recipient of the small-market award was Lila Delman Real Estate of Newport, Rhode Island. The medium-market award was won by Ken Jacobs of Sydney, Australia. The large-market winner was Brown Harris Stevens Residential Sales of Manhattan, New York, who also received the inaugural overall Affiliate-of-the-Year Award. The other finalists across the three categories included Van Sciver Realtors of Mantoloking, New Jersey; Barbara Cleary’s Realty Guild of New Canaan, New Jersey; Profusion Realty of Montréal, Québec; IRG International Realty Group of Portugal; and Pacific Union International of San Francisco, California.
Submissions were received from across the network, which is composed of the world’s top luxury real estate brokerages. Affiliates demonstrated how they incorporated the Christie’s Great Estates and Christie’s brands into their company’s marketing strategies.
Headquartered in Atlanta with 15 sales offices around the metro Atlanta area, Harry Norman, Realtors was founded in 1930 and represents the Christie’s brand throughout Georgia. An exclusive Affiliate of Christie’s Great Estates since 2009, Harry Norman, Realtors was recognized for outstanding achievements in their local marketplace as well as exemplary use of the Christie’s Great Estates brand and programs. After its merger with Jenny Pruitt & Associates in 2009, Harry Norman, Realtors began an extensive redesign of its signage, listing tools, and website to fully incorporate and promote their Christie’s Great Estates affiliation. Agents and Marketing Coordinators were instructed to include the Christie’s Great Estates logo on all property flyers and other related marketing pieces, and ads were placed in a number of local magazine and newspaper publications to share news of the firm’s affiliation with the network. Harry Norman, Realtors is actively involved in the direct mail program, which is heavily promoted to its agents as an affordable way to reach out to their clients and present them with a gift and thoughtful message. For agents who do not have a property that is eligible for advertising in the magazine, they encourage them to use the direct mail program as a way to position themselves as a luxury real estate expert. Over the last year, the firm has had six agents participate. During this time, the company has placed a total of 20 full pages of advertising in Christie’s Great Estates magazine and placed five banner ads.
“Harry Norman, Realtors was honored at this year’s awards because of its exemplary promotion of their affiliation with Christie’s Great Estates,” said Zackary Wright, Senior Vice President and Director, Project Development Marketing, Americas. “As well as adapting their website and signage to incorporate the Christie’s logo, they strongly encourage their agents to take full advantage of the affiliation with the world’s leading art business. The firm is active involved with numerous Christie’s Great Estates programs including Direct Mail and Banner Advertising.”
“As a recent affiliate of Christie’s Great Estates, we feel honored to be ranked among the larger companies within this international network and to have been recognized as one of the top three "Affiliate’s of the Year", said Dan Parmer, CEO and President of Harry Norman, Realtors®.
